Beef Grant

The Hernando County Cattlewomen (HCCW) is proud to support local youth through our Beef Project Grant Program, designed to encourage hands-on learning and growth in the beef industry. This grant helps youth expand an existing beef project or begin a new market or breeding project while building skills, responsibility, and a deeper understanding of agriculture.

Each year, HCCW awards three $500 grants — one to a Junior (ages 8–10), one Intermediate (ages 11–13), and one Senior (ages 14–18) participant. Graduating seniors are not eligible. Youth may apply more than once and must meet eligibility requirements outlined in the application materials.

Applications must be handwritten and hand-delivered to the Hernando-Citrus Farm Bureau Office in Brooksville by February 1. Winners will be notified by mid-March. Grant recipients are asked to attend the HCCW Awards Meeting in May and submit an end-of-year project summary.
